Unfortunately that changed recently. No manners at all,he forgot his "excuse me" and "sorry for that" at home. Absolutely no priority for these people whilst every other supermarket has offered something. Pleasant and helpful staff. The way these loyal vulnerable people have been treated Is appalling. My first delivery from Waitrose. Luckily I have been accepted by another supermarket chain that did not require sight of existing loyalty status. When I asked why there is a customer with a trolley already and also some with hand baskets his answer was that this is a quick check now but answer was rude and he looked as he would happily punch me. I for one, would never buy anything again on the basis of this. A quick word for people who may shop at Waitrose Westifled, be careful when you are doing self-check-out, if you mistakingly scan a product again whilst packing, you can be told off by a staff for 'creating unneccesary work for her'; if you'd rather use the system at the end to enter the quantity of shopping bags you buy, instead of scanning them one by one, some new staff with less knowledge about the check-out system than you will come and tell you off again, and call you 'stupid'. If you wish to spread people out the opening hours should be extended. The staff totally ignored the safety screen and stood face to face with customers and I could go on! He said this because i am of a different skin colour. I sent my son to pick up my first Click and Collect order from Waitrose. This could go along way to explaining fairly recent press stories on issues of such matters in various stores and a precieved tilt in the atmosphere within the company? You may withdraw implied right of access. This was not because I had requested help but rather to tell me off about the self-check-out operations. Considering you have a lot of elderly customers who trust Waitrose they are utterly disgusted at the lack of anything. Too close to the bone, a valid and truthful consumer comment. This from ex employees. You may also want to test opinion in nearby influential workplaces,schools colleges and the like to look at an embargo there too? Many communities are private housing and parking is only on the acceptance of residents. They normally refund it later when I complain but it is incredibly annoying considering that they know about this problem and do nothing to fix it. The young man who delivered our order was very smart polite and arrived in the time allocated. No special hours, no special deliveries.. As a family we have self isolated since March with home deliveries from Supermarkets and now feel compromised by our experience with Waitrose. My experience has always been extremely good. No protective ware being worn by many even when handling fresh produce, which questions how seriously customer safety is taken. And security guards which dash over to the drinks every time someone goes near and then stare at you whilst you shop - very uncomfortable.
